Today at the prestigious PATA Gold Awards held within the framework of PATA Travel Mart 2020, the video "Travelstan", created by JSC "NC "Kazakh Tourism" and Photosafari Group won the best travel video nomination.
The main goals of this video were not only to promote inbound tourism and increase travelers ' awareness of the beauty and tourist opportunities of Kazakhstan, but also to eliminate the negative connotation that the "-stan" suffix brings up. The video was shown on international channels with a combined potential audience reach of more than 480 million views, as well as on the boards of Air Astana airlines and other news portals.
The PATA Gold Awards 2020 is an annual award that aims to identify outstanding achievements in travel and tourism in the Asia - Pacific region. In 2020, the award attracted 121 applications from 62 organizations and individuals worldwide. The winners were selected by an independent judging committee of 16 professionals from different fields.
