According to the press office of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the first Qatar Airways flight to Kazakhstan will take place in March this year.

The Qatar Airways inauguration flight between Doha and Nur-Sultan is scheduled for March 30, 2020, and a flight from Doha to Almaty will take place on April 1.

It is agreed that the airline will operate regular passenger flights from Doha to Nur-Sultan with a frequency of two flights a week and to Almaty of four flights a week on an Airbus-320 aircraft.

The opening of flights of a major airline, such as Qatar Airways, will affect the tourists' inflow to Kazakhstan, allow Kazakhstan passengers to travel to 160 airline destinations and will affect the interconnectedness of the region.

Qatar Airways is the national carrier of Qatar and one of the largest airlines in the world. They are on the list of seven airlines with the highest five-star rating according to the British agency - Skytrax. To date, the fleet size consists of 233 aircraft.
