Within the framework of the "Visit Nur-Sultan" Partner Program, a "Cooperation Agreement" was signed between Astana Invest and Astana Marathon Events, the purpose of which is the interaction of the parties on holding business and sports events at the regional and international levels.
The parties discussed the preparation of amateur races in the city of Nur-Sultan in the near future. A race is already planned in partnership with Astana Invest in the distances of 42.2 km and 10 km for September 5 of this year. Registration of participants takes place on the official website https://www.astana42k.com/how-to-enter Participants will be able to pick up their "Runner Packages" on September 3 and 4 at the Sheraton Nur-Sultan Hotel, where the Astana Marathon EXPO 2021 sports exhibition will also be held.
This race will be the sixth international marathon organized by Astana Marathon Events, since Astana Marathon received the World Athletics Bronze Label award in 2019, and became the first Label marathon in Central Asia recognized by the World Athletics organization.
At the same time, since 2020, Astana Marathon has entered the Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group of qualifying marathons.
