On January 8, 2021, the Center of Urbanism presented a project of pedestrian boulevards, which will be located in the historical center of the capital. One boulevard will be located along A. Mambetov Street from Omarov Street to the Esil River embankment. Visitors can enjoy the fountain, hinged swings, and quiet zones there.
The second pedestrian boulevard will be located from the beginning of Beybitshilik Street to the central River embankment; this will allow tourists to taste different cuisines of the world in one place.
The streets will be blocked off by car traffic for pedestrian movement on summer weekends and for the organization of various festivals, concerts, and fairs.
