Today, on November 12, Nur-Sultan Convention Bureau held an online guest lecture for KazGUU students that are studying tourism and hospitality.
The KazGUU "Tourism" and "Hospitality" departments organized this lecture aiming to familiarize students with the activities of the convention bureau, the overall industry in general, and the field of MICE tourism in particular.
Assel Karbayeva spoke about the activities of the Bureau, talked on the specifics of working in the field of business tourism, as well as challenges faced by the industry during the pandemic. She paid special attention to the role of communication in the industry, highlighting the need to develop communication skills, taking into account work with various categories of clients and partners.
Students, as future professionals of the tourism industry, were interested in such a lecture in terms of career guidance and acquaintance with potential employers.
At the end of the lecture, there was a question-and-answer session, where students were able to ask questions to the professional and share their ideas and opinions.
