Zhanbolat Kakishev has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board of "Astana Invest" in connection with the transition of Yerzhan Baltayev, who previously held the post of Chairman, to the position of Head of the Department for Investment and Entrepreneurship Development in Nur-Sultan.
Since 2019, Zhanbolat Kakishev has headed the Representative Office of the National Welfare Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Samruk-Kazyna" in Moscow. Previously, in 2018-2019, he held the position of Director of the Department of International Cooperation, as well as in 2016-2018, the position of Director of the Department for New Investment Projects. Over the years, he worked as a chief venture analyst at CREERIS VENTURES and as a project engineer at EXXONMOBIL DEVELOPMENT and AGIP KKO.
