Since mid-May, international air transportation to Kazakhstan has increased from 352 to 433 flights per week and the number of routes has increased from 81 to 99.
International flights are performed in 27 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Egypt, India, Iran, Italy, Qatar, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Mongolia, Netherlands, UAE, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, the Czech Republic, and South Korea.

For foreigners arriving in the country by air, as well as for visitors crossing the border of Kazakhstan by land at checkpoints with Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, the permission of the Interdepartmental Commission for Preventing the Spread of Coronavirus Infection in the Territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan (IAC) is not required.

It should also be noted that direct flights from the capital to the Greek Heraklion have been canceled; flights to Crete are now carried out only from Almaty. Currently, there are three flights per week, but for the convenience of passengers from different regions of Kazakhstan, there are convenient connections, including those from Nur-Sultan.
