Kazakhstan to host 7th WPC Youth Forum in 2022

We would like to share some great news! Kazakhstan received the right to host the International Forum World Petroleum Council (WPC) in October 2022. The event will take place in Almaty, the scientific, cultural, and historical center of the country.

Young professionals determine the future of the global oil and gas sector in the energy transformation. In this fact, the World Petroleum Council has long given great importance to amplifying the voice and perspectives of young people in its global industry association.

The organizer of the event is The KAZENERGY Association.

World Petroleum Council is a non-advocacy, non-political organization with charitable status in the U.K. and has accreditation as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) from the United Nations (UN). WPC was founded in London in 1933.

In the same year, the first World Petroleum Congress was convened in London, which gathered about a thousand participants from 24 countries, and this was the first event in the oil industry and worldwide technology. World Petroleum Council includes 70 member countries from around the world representing over 96% of global oil and gas production and consumption.
