Kazakhstan ratified the agreement from USA about air traffic
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the United States of America on Air Service".

As noted earlier, the main purpose of the Agreement is to establish a legal framework for the opening of direct flights between Kazakhstan and the United States of America.

This Agreement is the first in the country's history in the "open skies" mode, that is, any Kazakhstani airline will be able to operate passenger flights with an unlimited number of frequencies from any city of Kazakhstan to any city in the United States of America, as well as cargo flights between points in the United States of America and any locations outside the US.

However, Kazakhstan does not yet have the appropriate aircraft to perform direct flights between the two countries. Because of the pandemic, Boeing has postponed the delivery of planes until 2025.
