Kazakhstan lifts the mask regime

On 24 March, Deputy Prime Minister Y. Tugzhanov chaired a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission (IAC) on Preventing the Spread of Coronavirus Infection in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Considering stabilizing the epidemiological situation on coronavirus infection in the Republic of Kazakhstan, IAC approved the following:

  • to maintain the mandatory wearing of medical masks in medical organizations (staff, employees, patients, visitors);
  • to preserve the recommendatory nature of wearing masks in crowded places, public transport, in organized collectives;
