The largest theatre in Central Asia, "Astana Opera" is constructed according to the best classical architectural traditions. The technical capabilities of the theatre conform to international standards.
The total area of the theatre is 64 000 m2 and the stage area about 3 000 m2. The lobby, foyer, auditoriums, and the main stage made in the style of high classicism. The Main Hall is designed for 1250 seats. However, due to restrictions and new standards introduced during the pandemic, the capacity of the auditorium has been reduced.
The orchestra pit is designed for 120 musicians. Chamber Hall of the theater can accommodate 250 people. These rooms are for holding Chamber music concerts, performances of ensembles, a small symphony orchestra, and a chamber choir. Leading experts from Italy and Germany worked on unique sound characteristics of theatre.
In addition, the State Opera and Ballet Theatre is an opportunity to hold closed events.
