On February 26, the Chairman of the Board of the City’s Center for Investment Development “Astana Invest” Yerzhan Baltayev met with the Chairman of the Board of the State Center for Support of National Cinema Yessetzhan Kossubayev to discuss the cooperation to develop cinematography in Nur-Sultan.
As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed. Within the framework of this MoC parties planned to create a "Production Office" to promote the Nur-Sultan as a film destination, put a Product Placement of the city in commercials, films, and music videos, to assist in coordinating and providing sites for filming, as well as cooperate in holding festivals and other activities.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the development and promotion of Kazakh cinematography and the sphere of rebates.
