A comprehensive study of the crafts market of Kazakhstan announced in the framework of the round table in Turkestan held at the site of the Department of tourism of the Turkestan region on October 19 this year.
The main purpose of this research is to study the potential of the crafts market, the necessary support measures and development prospects. Members also raised the issue of territorial branding through handicrafts and souvenirs, as a component of the general tourist complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The results of the study will be:
- Analysis of the craft market,
- Identification of potential small business development among the artisans,
- Identification of main obstacles to the development of handicrafts in the country;
- Adoption of new proposals and models for the development of handicrafts in the country;
- Creation of a single registry of artisans of Kazakhstan.
NC Kazakh Tourism JSC will conduct the research for the Committee of Tourism Industry of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
