Kazakhstan is on International rating of sustainable destinations

Kazakhstan is on the 62nd place in the sustainable tourism ranking and overtook Russia and Turkey, which were placed in 65th and 66th places, respectively.

At the ITB Berlin tourism exhibition, Euromonitor International presented a ranking of countries for sustainable tourism. The rating highlighted 99 countries and territories around the world, analyzing environmental, social and economic sustainability, country risk as well as sustainable tourism demand, transport and lodging.

Globally, Sweden has been ranked the most sustainable destination for travel, followed by Finland and Austria, and the list is completed by Mauritius, India and Pakistan.

Among the CIS countries, Belarus became the leader on 26th place, slightly ahead of Ukraine and Georgia - in 30th and 41st places.
