The author of the photo "Winter in the city of Nur-Sultan" is a Russian photographer Andrey Pugach. He shot it back in 2018 and represented Khan Shatyr shopping and entertainment center from a bird's - eye view, and also emphasizes the beautiful geometry of streets and squares.
In total, more than 35,000 submissions were sent from over 135 countries for the #BestPhotoOf2020 contest. The main prize will be 25 thousand dollars.
