Astana Convention Bureau met with Israir

Today, February 17, the Astana Convention Bureau team met with the management of Israir. The meeting was attended by the company CEO - Uri Sirkis, vice president of aviation and tourism - Avi Mandelbaum and Moshe Talmor - vice president for ground operations and security.

The main purpose of this meeting was to consider the possibility of opening a direct connection between Tel Aviv and Nur-Sultan, as well as discussing the tourism potential and profile of the city’s tourists. Within the framework of the “open skies” regime, introduced on November 1, 2019, it is planned to open 14 new international air routes, one of which is the Israir flight on the Tel Aviv – Almaty route.

Israir is one of the leaders in the Israeli air transportation market, specializing primarily in the provision of services in the charter and low-cost segments. Today, they operate in 21 directions and specialize in creating their own organized tours in travel packages and a choice of exotic and secret destinations.
