Foreign tourists will no longer pay a tourist tax in the capital. This decision was made at a meeting of the city maslikhat.

The resolution of the maslikhat states: “To approve the rates of tourist tax for foreigners in the city Astana in the amount of 0 (zero) percent for each day of stay in tourist accommodation places”

Let us remind you that the bedtax tourist tax was introduced into Kazakhstan from the beginning of 2023. Its goal was to accumulate funds for the development of regional tourism in Kazakhstan. Last year in Astana, a rate of 5 (five) percent of the cost of stay was applied to the tourist contribution at accommodation sites.
