St. Petersburg hosted the first Congress of the Regional Convention Bureaux from the 18th to the 20th of January.

This Congress held a place within the XII Eurasian Event Forum (EFEA) 2023 and aimed to discuss the role of the congress bureaux in the modern world, the means of support to the industry community, and contemporary approaches to destination promotion. Heads of regional congress bureaux of CIS countries, event organizers, leading experts, and practitioners in the field of MICE tourism shared their experiences and presented their best cases.

At the plenary session of the Congress, Astana Invest presented the city's goals and plans in the field of tourism development, ways to implement them, and promising areas of development.

Director of the Bashkortostan Congress Bureau Ildar Safin noted the high level of infrastructure and quality of services provided by congress and exhibition facilities and service companies of Astana and expressed hopes for strengthening the partnership between our countries.

On the event's platform, @Astana Invest and the Ural Congress Bureau under the Investment Attraction Agency of the Sverdlovsk Region signed a memorandum of cooperation, which focused on assisting in the field of education and professional development.
