The Year of Kazakhstani Tourism began in China, during which an exhibition showcasing the tourism potential of Kazakhstan's regions and a business forum were organized.

The Akimat (city administration) of Astana, in cooperation with deputies of the maslikhat (local government council), organized an innovative exhibition pavilion of the capital. Among the visitors to the capital's pavilion were the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, E.B. Marzhykpaev, the Vice President of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Sapiev, People's Artist Roza Rymbaeva, as well as boxer Kanat Islam and UFC fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov. Additionally, representatives of the business community and residents of Beijing showed interest in our pavilion, where they were treated to dishes of national cuisine by the renowned chef of the Qazaq Gourmet restaurant, Artem Kantsev.

It should be noted that all the above events were organized as part of the start of the Year of Kazakhstani Tourism in China. The announcement that 2024 was declared the Year of Kazakhstan Tourism in China was made during the official visit of the Head of State to the DPRK.

The event was attended by 24 representatives of the tourism business from Astana, who successfully signed more than 10 bilateral documents on cooperation.

As a result of the first day, the Astana city pavilion was recognized as the best among 20 regions of Kazakhstan and received the Grand Prix of the competition "For the Best Demonstration of Tourism Potential".
