Yesterday, on September 9, the 23rd session of the UNWTO General Assembly began in St. Petersburg!

Venues for the conference program are ExpoForum Exhibition Center, Tauride Palace, and the Presidential Library named after B.N. Yeltsin.

The Astana Convention Bureau team has attended the 12th meeting of the Committee on Tourism and sustainable development. The growing trend in world Tourism development requires taking measures to follow the path of sustainable growth of the industry.

The more of the sustainable development trends and sustainability of congresses and exhibition events will be implemented as part of the organization of the 8th UNWTO Global Summit on Urban Tourism, which will be held on October 9-12 in the city of Nur Sultan.

The UNWTO General Assembly is the largest event in the global tourism industry. It brings together delegates from more than 150 countries, is held under the auspices of the UN, and aims to solve global problems facing the tourism industry. This marks the first time that Russia will host the event.
