The resumption of air links with Kyrgyzstan and Egypt

Following the decision of the Interdepartmental Commission for the prevention of emergence and spread of coronavirus infection in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan of September 3, 2020, and taking into account the recommendations of the Ministry of health, Kazakhstan has resumed international flights to Kyrgyzstan and Egypt.

From September 14th, air flights to Egypt on the routes Nur-Sultan – Sharm El-Sheikh and Almaty - Sharm El-Sheikh were reopened. The operator of the flights is Sunday Airlines Company.

Flights between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, operated by Air Astana on the Almaty – Bishkek route will renew from September 20th.

All flights will be operated with strict compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements (thermometry, social distancing, mask mode, etc.).

It is also worth mentioning that international passengers arriving at Kazakhstan must have a certificate of examination for COVID-19 with a negative result. If there is no certificate, then at the arrival airport, visitors are given a notification of passing a laboratory examination for COVID-19 at the place of stay (for foreign citizens) or the place of residence (for citizens of Kazakhstan) within 48 hours from the date of arrival or home quarantine for 14 days.
